1At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?

2And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them,

3And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

4Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

5And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me.

6But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.

7Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh!

~~Mathew 18:1-7

How do you serve?

March 10, 2009 at 10:35 am (God, Life) (, , )

What would you do if Jesus knocked on your door?  Although your mouth may hang open and you may need to get over the shock of it all, can you imagine how you would react?

The need to praise Him and serve Him to the best of my ability would be foremost in my mind.  I would want to do everything possible for Him.  I would be filled with joy to be able to serve Him.

He gave his everything for us and we are not worthy.  I know that no amount of serving Him would ever equal to what He has given us.  But, I would gladly try.

Now, read this passage of scripture from Ephesians.

Eph 6:6-8 (KJV)

7 With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men: 8 Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.

We should all strive to serve each other.  Just like we would serve Jesus.  There should be no difference.  We should serve from our hearts, joyfully, to please Him and not men.

This really made me look at having a servant’s heart differently.  Is this how you serve?

Just dive on in!

August 8, 2008 at 2:31 pm (Children, Family, God, Life) (, , , , , , , , )

Welcome to the world?  Wow, what a huge pressure to impress.  I don’t need to think like that though.  Let’s do it the right way.

5Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

6In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

~~Proverbs 3:5-6

I pray that this blog will please you.  I pray that you will direct my paths and give me the words to speak.  I pray that the people who read these words will know You as their personal savior.  Thank you Lord for the blessings that you have given me.  I praise You and You alone!

In Jesus’s name I pray,

I have so much to learn and God is working on me constantly.  I am not a biblical scholar and I don’t like to debate.  I will share with you what I feel and believe.  If you feel the Lord leading you to teach me something, then by all means comment.

Look at some of the blessings that God has bestowed on me.
